Assistant District 1230 Governor Andrew Macleman from the Gryffe Valley club attended the club lunch — only his third club visit in 18 months because of the pandemic — and was warmly welcomed by president Derek Hall. Fourteen other members and guest Michael Dawson attended.
Andrew, a retired police officer, explained the background as to why District 1230 is looking to merge with the East of Scotland district, and said it was hoped that this would take place in 2024. He congratulated the club on the Malawi project, and said that he would push for more district financial support for the ongoing project. The president gave the vote of thanks.
The weekly raffle for a wisky miniature was won by Bill Jones.
