President Douglas Dow welcomed 13 other members. Secretary Donald Fullarton read an email from Sue Brannan, Volunteer Coordinator Argyll and Bute, Alheimer Scotland, thanking the club for lunch and for presenting her with a cheque for £650 for Alzheimer Helensburgh, the proceeds of the recent Ellie's Cellar Wine Tasting in the Commodore Hotel, organised by Bill Jones and the Community Service committee.
International convener Reay Mackay reported that the funds raised in Helensburgh so far for the Malawi classrrom project had reached £1,500.
Derek Hall, who won the weekly raffle for a whisky miniature, then conducted the annual Christmas draw. The top prize of a bottle of ten year-old Aberlour Speyside malt whisky was won by Adam Muggoch, the second prize of a bottle of 1917 Puissegiunn Saint-Emilion red wine from Bordeaux went to Gordon Burgess, and John McCormick won the third prize of a bottle of Prosecco.
