Adam Muggoch said that Luss Primary School was looking for a photography tutor for four Wednesday afternoons during the school session. Brian Averell was suggested, and the president — holder of a diploma in photography — said that he would consider doing it.
The secretary reported that so far he had 22 names for the dinner in Inveraray on Thursday September 13 from four clubs, Dumbarton having submitted a nil return. This includes six from Helensburgh and four from Helensburgh Garelochside, and the president said that he hopes to canvass a few more members from the town clubs. Next Tuesday is the deadline for the hotel to receive the number and menu choices.
The secretary read a letter of thanks from Amy Jackson of Arrochar for the club's grant of £100 towards her year in Malawi for the Project Trust, teaching disadvantaged children in a primary school near Blantyre. The weekly raffle fior a miniature of 12 year-old Deanston single malt whisky was won by Ian Mowat, and the monthly raffle, this time for a bottle of Bowmore 10 year-old single malt, was won by Donald Fullarton.
