President Mike Jane welcomed eleven other members, and said that he had details of the forthcoming District 1230 conference at the Golden Lion Hotel in Stirling, and a Membership Seminar at Glasgow Caledonian University from 10am-4pm on September 8.
He said that it had been decided to make the Six Clubs Dinner in Inveraray on September 13 a social event, with partners invited. The George Hotel is offering a 25% discount on rooms, first come first served, and anyone intending to stay the night should book early.
Ron Dunachie reported that Ian Mowat is still in the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley following a seizure, but is feeling much better and is hoping to be discharged tomorrow.
Alastair Wilson advised that website booking for the forthcoming Glasgow Doors Open Day opens tomorrow, with booking vital for some events although all are free.
The Helensburgh Garelochside club provided the dates of this rotary year's two joint events, the Christmas Dinner on Monday December 17 and the Burns Supper on Monday January 28, both in the Rosslea Hall Hotel at Rhu.
The weekly raffle for a whisky miniature was won by Bill Jones.
