President Gordon Burgess welcomed eleven other members to the final meeting of his year in office. The weekly raffle for a whisky miniature was won by Henri van der Stighelen.
The lunch was followed by the Annual General Meeting. After reports from the committees, treasurer Lesley Kennedy presented her report and budget for 2018-19, proposing a same-again annual subscription of £110. Members approved the report and budget.
David Arthur was re-elected as an honorary member for a further year, and associate members Linda Harvey, Derek Bowman, Phil Hopkinson and Denis Taylor were re-elected. Ron Dunachie was reappointed as accounts examiner.
Derek Hall was elected Junior Vice-President for 2018-19, with committee conveners Bill Deans, Douglas Dow and Jack Rudram remaining in office.
The two representatives to serve on the District 1230 Council will be Mike Jane and Douglas Dow, with Donald Fullarton and Derek Hall as substitutes.
The president closed the meeting with the two usual toasts and an extra one — to Reay Mackay's father who was celebrating his 101st birthday that day.
