Mary's Meals Backpack Project

On 17th June 2014, the sun shone on the members of Greenock Rotary as they posed for a photo before loading 172 bags onto the Mary's Meals van. International Committee convenor, Mike Kimpton was behind the camera, so could not be in the photo.


This is the project which grew like Topsy's nose.  The International Committee, set out to deliver 50 bags filled with clothing, toiletries and school stationery to Mary's Meals.  In April, the club organised the Anita Manning Antiques Roadshow to raise funds for the project. 

Insight Travel kindly donated 150 backpacks, local dental practices provided toothbrushes and toothpaste, and members of the club, along with other members of the community donated backpacks, towels, clothing and stationery items.

An Evening with The Wherries

Anita Manning's Antiques Roadshow

more Anita Manning and her team hosted an Antiques Roadshow in Greenock. The event was a Rotary fundraiser in support of the Mary's Meals Backpack Project.

Indian Night
