Tonight we were given a talk by Ritchie Foulds on the aspirations of Tesco to take over the bulk of retail trade on the high street. Tesco have a policy of targeting one area of business at a time and at the moment it is newsagents that are their target. Tesco also treat their suppliers badly. They will reel in a supplier and take over the bulk of their production so that if they do not comply with the stores policy they will lose their contract and in most cases go bust. In some instances they will not pay for goods that are not sold, so supplier beware. Clubcards are a great invention for stores as they can profile their customers. Have you noticed how often you receive coupons for goods that you do not normally buy!
Beware Big Brother is watching you!!
