Alan Duncan introduced us to Stephen Wilson who for the last 14 years has been the local postie in Gourock. Riders for Health first came about in Somalia where in 1988 Barry Coleman and Randy Mamola saw motorcycles being scraped by the Ministry of Health after a very short working life due to the heat and poor maintance. From this developed an International Academy of Vehicle Management was established to train mechanics to keep these and four wheeled vehicles on the road. Over time this led to the formation of Riders for Health which takes healthcare into remote place all over Africa.
