District Governor Andrew Hughes

We had District Governor Drew Hughes at the club tonight. He gave a very good address pointing out what was his vision for this year of his office as well as the vision of Rotary GB&I President and that of the President of RI. In the new club house venue, Royal Gourock Yacht Club, there was a race night and the DG's talk was well punctuated by Klaxon blasts signalling the start of races. It was quite a hilarious diversion. Again the chef surpassed herself. We had a barbecue. There were steaks and salmon steaks plus various accompaniments. This was followed by either gateau or biscuits and cheese and coffee or tea. This all impressed the DG and the three visitors from the Greenock club. Quite superb.
