The National Trust

On Thursday 1 February the speaker was Derek Alexander.
He is a graduate archaeologist who works for The National Trust based at its Clarkston Office. Derek is an enthusiastic and infectious speaker who clearly was keen on his subject. As he said, he could speak for hours on his subject but contented himself with describing just two contrasting locations, the Weaver's Cottage at Kilbarchan and Culzean Castle. Of particular interest at the latter, was the huge complex of caves formed into the rock cliffs below the castle.
Utterly fascinating!
