John Aitken with Ambassadorial Scholar Autumn Keller Hicks from Indiana

This evening the Rotary Club of Gourock welcomed John Aitken our District Officer from the Rotary Club of Hunterston who for many years has undertaken sterling work looking after the incoming Ambassadorial Scholars and the Club wished to recognise his commitment and dedication.  This evening John was accompanied by this years incoming Ambassadorial Scholar Autumn Keller Hicks who was our speaker this evening.

Autumn who is from who is from Attica Indiana USA is studying Visual Art at the renown Glasgow School of Art and is here on an endowed scholarship.  She is supported and accompanied during the time of her scholarship in Glasgow by her husband Gabriel and daughter Cloe.

Autumn gave us a detailed insight into the work of the Rotary Club of Attica and Williamsport in District 6560 with its 26 Rotary membership and of her small town Attica in the mid west state of Indiana which is known as part of the bread basket of USA.

The members of the club greatly enjoyed Autumns' presentation.
