The Glasgow Rotary E-Group is part of a dynamic global network of 1.2 million neighbours, friends, leaders and problem solvers who come together to make positive, long lasting change in communities at home and abroad. In partnership with the Rotary Club of Glasgow, we run an extensive and varied programme of community-based activities to support those most in need, as well as a wide range of fun events such as Youth & Schools Competitions in music, cookery & public speaking, Quiz Nights, Charity Walks, BBQ’s, golf, curling, snooker, bowls, sailing & petanque. Local charities supported include Glasgow Old Peoples Welfare Association, the Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice, Sunny Govan Community Radio, MsMissMrs and Impact Arts. We also provide hands-on practical support to Glasgow's homeless people and have an increasing network of Rotakids clubs working with young people in Glasgow Primary Schools - but we could achieve a lot more with YOUR help. GREG uses social media, video-conferencing, etc. extensively and is specifically geared to the needs of busy people. People like you, with many competing demands on your time and may have difficulty in attending the regular face-to-face lunch-time /evening meetings normally associated with the world-wide Rotary movement. Please consider supporting our aim of making the world a better place in which to live and work by either volunteering to get involved in one of our many projects or becoming a Member of Rotary from only £8 per month. To find out more about GREG & Rotary, please ask to join our free Closed Group page on Facebook where you can see the wide range of local projects we are currently involved in and browse our Rotary GB&I Magazine & Bulletins within the Files section.
