The theme for this year's competition was "The Beauty of Architecture", and some interesting takes on the theme were among the 35 entries received for the competition from pupils in Calderglen High and Duncanrig Secondary schools. Judging of the competition was done by lecturers from South Lanarkshire College who were impressed with the talent and imagination of the young folk. Prizes were shared out equally by the two schools, with Calderglen having all three winners in the Senior section and Duncanrig doing the same in the Intermediate section. Winners in the Senior section were Ethan McNeil, Pip Keogh-Slorach and Cerys McNab. Intermediate winners were Jessica Anne Strachan, Sarah Buchanan and Iona MacKerron, with both Ethan and Jessica Anne's photographs going forward to the District round.
