Our Wishing Well in the James Hamilton Heritage Park
Maggies Lanarkshire
At the beginning of lockdown in 2020, club members took part in a 5K challenge when they agreed to walk or run 5K each week for 10 weeks. Of the £1,000 raised, £500 was donated to Maggies Lanarkshire
Poppy Scotland 1918 appeal
100 years after the end of WW1, Poppy Scotland initiated the 1918 appeal. The club planted 1918 trees with the help of volunteers in a communal area of the town.

The generous public of East Kilbride drop coins into the Wishing Well, and proceeds are used to help local causes.

The Club playing Santa for families in East Kilbride who are supported by the Social Work Department
East Kilbride Rotary Club are involved in many local initiatives
- Collections for Poppy Scotland each year in the two week period leading up to Rembrance Sunday;
- Our Wishing Well in the James Hamilton Heritage Park, where the coins collected are used to assist local charities and initiatives;
- Our Toys for Kids Christmas initiative
- Reading for the East Kilbride Talking Newspaper

Poppy Scotland collections
more Each year, members of East Kilbride Rotary Club and many volunteers collect for Poppy Scotland in both Morrisons Lindsayfield and Stewartfield and Sainsbury's Kingsgate stores in the town. In 2019, collections in the three stores raised over £21,000.
Apprentice Of The Year
more In Partnertship with the East Kilbride Group Training Association the apprentice of the year is an annual event and the Rotary Club invite the winner along to presnt a cheque in recognition of their achievment
