Lodging House Mission is one of our priority Local Community charities. We make regular contributions in cash and in kind to help the homeless people of Glasgow.
Claire Herbert is the indefatigable Deacon of the Mission and we felt it would be appropriate to recommend her to Rotary International for appointment as a Paul Harris Fellow. Paul Harris was the founder of Rotary International and Paul Harris Fellowships - the highest Rotary honour - are awarded 'in appreciation of tangible and significant assistance given for the furtherance of better understanding and friendly relations among peoples of the world'.
It was a privilege to have Claire and her husband, Craig, at our 2022 Christmas Dinner and to present her with the award, together with a cheque for £1,000 to help Glasgow homeless people.
