The Rotary Club of Sutton in Ashfield
Donate £3000 to support local Food Bank.
The President of the Rotary Club of Sutton in Ashfield, Chris Dawes, visited the Let’s All Eat food bank at the Ashfield Community Academy to see the work that they were doing. This was helped by the £3000 donation made by the local Rotary Club assisted by a grant application made from their District and Rotary International.
Let’s All Eat is a Not for Profit Company that has been set up to provide free food for the community during this very difficult time.
Linda Smith the manager of the project explained how the free food provided by Rotary, the Supermarkets and other donors was made up into food parcels which were then distributed by volunteers to deserving cases in the community. Linda explained they were currently supporting about 120 families each week but the demand was growing as a result of the Covid crisis so more funds and volunteer drivers were needed. If you would like to become a driver please email Linda on L.Smith@attfe.org.uk or call at the address below. Drivers are paid expenses to cover their costs.
