Members of The Rotary Club Of Nottingham Collecting Trees on behalf of Nottingham Hospitals Charity as part of their Christmas Tree Recycling Scheme
In return for a small donation to the charity, members of the public in Nottinghamshire had their Christmas Tree collected from their doorstep and recycled. The Rotary Club of Nottingham supported with 20 days’ volunteering time – both collecting trees, and chipping them - and 13 days' of plant & equipment hire.
We were delighted to support the charity in offering the people of Nottinghamshire this chance to not only recycle their tree in a hassle-free way, but also to support patients and staff at Nottinghamshire’s hospitals at the same time.
Louise Knight, Head of Fund Raising at the Nottingham City Hospital joined us at our Club meeting on Monday night and reported that they had raised over £11,000 this year from the scheme.
