NOTTINGHAM FRIENDS - Are you clearing out your shed, garage or garden stores during this period of 'stay at home' to fight the spread of COVID -19? If the answer is yes, can we ask for your help?
Members of the Rotary Club of Nottingham are working on a charity initiative to support people in Tanzania, Zambia and Kenya to get into work by supplying them with tools and training to become Tradesmen and Seamstresses. Its the old adage "Give a man a fish and feed him for a day, teach him how to fish and feed him for life".
Partnering with an award winning charity, Workaid, we need your old tools and sewing machines which can be refurbished in Workaid's workshops and shipped to Africa to support a man or woman become financially empowered and support their families.
We will come and collect from homes in Nottinghamshire, observing appropriate social distance.

We shared the £1200 we raised at our annual brass band concert last year between three local charities and last month we visited Emmanuel House to hand over their cheque.
