A talk by Peter Cook

Thu, Oct 1st 2015 at 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm

Peter is a Trainer, Supervisor and Practitioner of Counseling and was the former Director of the Centre for Studies in Counselling at Durham University.

Before the meeting got under way, we were pleased to welcome a new member.  Alan Watson is a retired police officer and has visited the Club as a guest of President Fari for the last few weeks - he must like what he has seen!

The fascinating talk by Peter Cook outlined a case study of a man who wished to stop gambling.  Peter described the step by step approach to providing support and counselling to his client, revealing and resolving challenges that had little to do with the basic gambling habit.  We trust there was a happy ending to the story!
