A depleted group met up at the public car park on Holy Island, partly due to Martin's Sat Nav giving him duff information [that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it !]. Apparently, having waited in vain for their chronicler [emphasis on the chronic] to arrive, the group set off to the castle, then round to the priory.
As they were approaching the Priory, David received a distress call from Martin, who was stuck in the Priory Cafe and wondered where we were going to have lunch ? The errant chronicler was found and the group repaired to The Ship for lunch.
Yet another very successful ramble, good fellowship, good food, drink and a little bit of walking.
Before all that exercise some Rotarians and Ramblers danced the night away at the 60's Night at the Indoor Bowling Club, Newton Hall. A musical quiz administered by David Yates 'Sgt. Pepper' on the night, proved that we could all remember the tunes and words but very few of the the titles and performers - old age has its problems, but the pie and chips were lovely, very 60's . Love and peace Man, sorry Men, sorry Chicks too !
