Community/Vocational

We deliver local community projects using our expertise and enthusiasm, working with others to strengthen and develop our community.

This committee is devoted to working within the local community, both with financial support and practical help. There are various events during the year which require input and organisation - such as the Annual Bonfire Night.  Not only does this provide safe and exciting entertainment for the community, but the profits additionally are distributed locally in support of other charities and organisations.

We provide transport for the Handicapped members of local society as well as the elderly and needy over the Christmas period.

Our Rotary District organises an Annual Disability Games Day and Louth members help organise a local team to participate in a very facinating day of competiton and fellowship.

Members give freely of their time and knowledge to help train those in local schools who are about to enter employment with advice and training in interview technique.

We are also very proud of our links to the Georgia Scholarship Programme, whereby Rotary grants a free additional year of study in various American Universities, with help from the local American Rotarians in Georgia. We have regualarly been able to send 2 local students on this programe.

Whilst we fund raise for our own work, we also help other organisations with their collections. We will maintain a presence at the Victorian and Christmas Markets.

The club also arranges the collection of Christmas Trees after the Christmas Season which has two purposes - to raise funds for charity and to aid the environment.

We are now in the process of distributing the funds raised to support many local organisations and charitable groups.
