It was the Black tie dinner on Wednesday 26th November at Waltham Windmill Golf Club . The president had booked a speaker but unfortunately he was ill and cancelled the talk. Instead he asked Mel to fill the gap.
Mel began by holding up a green bag from a well known board game. People were asked to choose a tile (from the bag) Mel identified the letter and recounted something from her life experiences. This was very wide ranging and comprehensive including eg;
a love of horses (an obsession), looking after a stable,para gliding ,driving a fast car on the Moulsan straight,a trip in a helicopter, to a racing circuit, attendance at a royal garden party, motor bike rider and even an appearance on top of the pops! Certainly a rich tapestry of life and a marked difference to the usual job talk.Well done for stepping in at such short notice.
