Today’s speaker was Julianne Jessett (Lottery fundraiser and Coordinator) from St Andrew’s Hospice.
Julianne gave us a brief history of the Hospice from 1970 to the opening of the new building in Peak’s Lane and eventually the addition of the Children’s Hospice (Andys).
“We offer end if life care in house, at home and respite care”said Julianne. We are dependant upon charitable donations and one way of support is the Lottery, with tickets costing £5 per month.
Some members signed up for the Lottery . Will there be a winner?
We will see.
