The Rotary Club of Grimsby is proud to present the Dragon Boat Challenge, taking place at Alexandra Dock on Sunday, 12 July 2026.
Founded in 1931, the Rotary Club of Grimsby is part of the worldwide organisation Rotary International. Over the years, the club has been actively involved in a wide range of community projects and fundraising initiatives, with funds raised being distributed to numerous local charities and good causes across the area.
The Dragon Boat Challenge is an exciting new fundraising event for the club and one we hope will become a regular fixture in future years. The event has enormous potential to raise significant funds locally, all of which will help support charities and community organisations throughout the area.
The day promises to be a fantastic family fun event, with teams from local businesses, charities, and organisations competing against each other in a thrilling series of dragon boat races. Alongside the racing action, visitors can enjoy live music from the bandstand, a variety of food and drink stalls, displays and exhibitions from local traders, and plenty of entertainment throughout the day.
We hope the local community will come along from 10.30am through to 3.00pm on Sunday, 12 July, to enjoy what promises to be a memorable and exciting occasion for Grimsby.
