A festive meal with partners

Club members please log in for more information.

Every year we celebrate Christmas by having  lunch with our partners and our special  guests were Michael Baron and Denise from the NEL Women's Aid.

After a pleasant meal Michael Baron, who was the organist at the Organ Showcase (see previous report) to raise funds for the Women's Aid. We thought it appropriate that Michael should present a cheque (for £1000) to Denise.

During the autumn, the club was selling jigsaw puzzles (see previous report) to raise funds. We have sold almost all the puzzles of trawlers on the slipway in Grimsby Dock.

The majority of the puzzles (28) were sold by Past President Martyn and his wife Ann (who was the artist ). President Mike presented her with a Hellebore. Past president Nigel Bratton sold over 20 jigsaws and we have made a donation to a charity of his choice.
