A report of a day out on the river.

During our review of the Club, an idea was generated about a day out on the River Trent. Nine months later in September 2024, 28 Rotarians and guests ventured to Nottingham to join an afternoon cruise along the River Trent.

It was a sports lovers dream, as we passed Nottingham Forest's City Ground and one of the county's unique Cricket Grounds - Trent Bridge, and finished off by cruising alongside Holme Pierrepont, the home of rowing and canoeing. As well as Sports memories, we were blessed to see wildlife in their natural habitats, in beautiful sunshine.

A great day was had by all with a lasting comment by many - "what’s next?"

Thank you Gary for organising such a successful event!
