On Saturday we assembled at Grimsby in Bloom (Duke of York Gardens ) to be given various tasks. Since our last visit the grassed area alongside the building has been enclosed with a metal fence.
Gary and Simon planted spring bulbs. Nigel Bratton and Stuart Brown weeded and cleaned up the planters on the street. An old metal fence has been removed since our last visit leaving bush stumps. Nigel Frow, Mike Bull and Martyn spent the morning digging up these stumps. The ground was very hard and dry so the roots had to be cut with a saw.
We will be returning later in the year.
