After a very pleasant meal of home cooked food at the YMCA members and partners had an illustrated slide show on “Gardens open for charity” which is part of the National Garden Scheme, and are open on a number of days.
The slide show was given by Neil Timm from Binbrook. He began the talk by saying that nationally, money raised was donated to 6 charities in 2023. They were looking for other gardens/gardners to join the scheme. The slides showed numerous (excellent and varied) gardens throughout Lincolnshire.
After the talk he took questions from the audience, ranging from tomatoes (that would not set) to a delightful plant that turned out to be a weed! (and had been spread throughout the garden) and how can I improve my beetroot crop.
