Grimsby Rotarians teamed up once again with the Civic Society and council workers to clear rubbish from under the docks railway flyover.
A total of 26 bags of litter, 1 mattress, 2 sleeping bags and a truck load of fly tipped tree cuttings and lumps of concretedlus whatever was in the council road sweeper was removed - an estimated one tonne in all. The location is frequently used by rough sleepers and fencing also forms a catchment for wind borne litter discarded by customers of the local fast food outlets.
Although we had our work cut out, the before and after photos will remind us of the great feeling of satisfaction for a job well done. Once again we were congratulated on our quality work. Thank you to all who took part.
more Saying thank you to all those volunteers who have helped throughout the year.
