The traditional Christmas lunch ,when we invite partners to join us ,was held on Wednesday 22nd December and our guest speaker was Martin Vickers M.P.
It was the usual Christmas fare of roast turkery( with all the usual trimmings) followed by Christmas pudding. The tables were decorated with Christmas crackers, balloons and party poppers.Having pulled the crackers we were able to ask one another the enclosed questions! (why do elephants struggle with penguins? Those Rotarians who managed to blow up balloons luanched them into the air, some not very successfully.
After the meal Martin Vickers M.P. spoke to the gathering.Martin has been before and as usual he gave us a report, with some highlights of parlimentary business. At the end there was a question and answer session ,which he enjoyed.
Finally Presidnet Mike wished us a merry Chrsitmas and a Happy New Year.
