A cheque presentation from monies raised by the Dock Tower Abseil on Saturday June 30th and July 1st .This year we worked in partnership with Associated British Ports who were raisng money for the Immingham 100 Legacy Foundation .The presentation took place at the Dock Offices.

"Follow the Olympic Flame" - Grimsby Dock Tower Charity Abseil

Today Wednesday 19 December, the President of The Rotary Club of Grimsby, Michael Carr presents cheques to the main beneficiaries or of the Club's annual Dock Tower charity fund raising event.

This year Grimsby Rotary  worked in partnership with the Tower's owners ABP, who are celebrating the 100th Anniversary of  the opening of The Port of Immingham. The theme was "Follow the Olympic Flame" giving participants the opportunity to follow the route of the London Olympics Torch which was abseiled down Grimsby's famous Tower in a blaze of publicity a few days earlier on 27th June.

Proceeds of the event held on Saturday 30th June and Sunday 1st July 2012 exceeded  a tremendous
