A report on the annual Christmas lunch.

19.12.12 CHRISTMAS LUNCH.

The annual Christmas lunch was held on Wednesday 19th and partners are invited.

The restaurant was decorated for Christmas and there were crackers and balloons on the table (for the amusement of the males who enjoyed launching balloons into the air!)

During the meal raffle tickets were sold and the prizes were four bottles of champagne. There were three winning prize tickets all on the top table!Fortunately one went to our speaker.

After the meal the Christmas address was given by Tony Jewitt (Port Missioner). The theme was- what are our expectations of Christmas? This was nicely illustrated by examples of those who expect a lot and others very little. The main message was that Jesus was born into a very poor household and the birth was in very poor circumstances.

A vote of thanks was given by David Hawkes.
