Rotary Spring Clean

Rotary Spring Clean 2012.

This a UK wide event  for Rotary.Our contribution was to Cleethorpes and Grimsby in Bloom and involved three Rotary Clubs.Past President Martyn Turner conacted the local council/in Bloom teams and asked them to select sites in both Grimsby and Cleethorpes.

The sites chosen include

Capes Recreation, Westward Ho (site near former ambulance station) and the sand dunes beyond the Cleethorpes leisure centre.

Wednesday 21st Capes Recreation.Th turn out by rotarians was magnificent and we were supported by members of the Grimsby in Bloom team.The worst part of the site was the ditch which runs into the Grimsby Golf Club.

Saturday 24th Cleethorpes sand dunes from the Leisure centre to the Caravan Park. Cleethopres Rotary team and Martyn Turner also attended.We collected numerous bags of litter.
