Youth Committee -now part of Projects Committee

Working for the young people of our town


The Youth Committee started in 2016 as a stand alone Committee.

The remit of the Youth Committee is to focus on the young people of Dronfield

the following gives details of their work

The Youth Committee seek to encourage and offer allDronfield S18 school age children the opportunity to take part in activities they may not otherwise take part in and in surroundings outside of their normal school environment

However, below is a list of our successes:

Rotary Year 2023 – 2024

Quiet Areas for Vulnerable Students

The last school visited in December 2023 to conclude this project was Gorseybrigg.

Young Photographer

There were seven entries.  The winners received a certificate and £30 cash.  The runners up received a certificate.

Scout Jamboree

Youth Committee and Community Committee sponsored four scouts to go to South Korea.

RYLA

One candidate from the Air Corps was sponsored after a second one could not attend after a football injury.

Schools Music Evening

Held at the Winding Wheel 7th March 2024.

St Andrews Garden Project

Donation of £500 towards a volunteer led project to help purchase a greenhouse and a wormery.

Dronfield Infants Playground

Donation of £1000 towards the new playground builders area.  This project is still on going and PH will continue with it until it is concluded.

Children Of Ukraine Stationery Boxes

23 Stationery Boxes from the Club were collected and sent to Ukraine

more Dronfield is in North East Derbyshire in central England. It comprises of five communities Dronfield, Dronfield Woodhouse. Coal Aston, Apperknowle and Unstone within the S18 postcode area.
