Geoff Brown writes:
Beetlemania, yes Beetle, not Beatle, hit Burton Rotary Club last week.
Several members, guests and friends attended Barton Village Hall for an evening playing that well established traditional game of Progressive Beetle.
The evening was a very social and pleasantly relaxing. However, some of the adding up left a little to be desired.
The eventual best scores were achieved by Mary Knighton and Hugh Clarke, whilst the lowest scores belonged to Norma Clarke and Norman Carpenter.
A Fish and Chip supper supplied from the Alrewas Fryer was enjoyed by all and the evening finished off with some splendid songs sung by Rotarian David McClelland accompanied by himself on Keyboard and Guitar.
