Burton upon Trent Rotary Club - Quiz report

The Annual quiz night was held on Wednesday 6th November 2024 at Burton Golf Club with sixteen teams of four taking part. The evening was organised by President David and his wife, Joan, who between them, set and asked the questions, collected the answer sheets, kept the scoreboard ticking over and provided the prizes of Wine and Chocolates.

The winning team, The Mods,  consisted of Geoff and Stella Brown with guests Robin Trotter and Liz Harris with a total score of 84 narrowly beating into second place with eighty points, Past President Andy Archer’s team from Newton Solney.

Bob Anderson organised a very successful raffle and auction with the overall amount for the evening being well over £700 raised for the Club’s Charity account.

The Burton Golf Club is an excellent venue, very welcoming and provided a very enjoyable Pie and Chips supper, thanks were expressed to the Chef and Staff.

David and Joan were thanked for organising the event and everyone present was thanked for attending  and making the evening such a great success with the wish that they all come again next year.
