Brigg Rotarians have been mobilised delivering, much needed, facemasks to the local Care Homes and to Ross Kettle for Brigg Food Bank.
A Rotarian and Past President of the Rotary Club of Brigg and Joe Henderson of Melton Ross have jointly funded the 20,000 masks. We are very grateful to them for their generosity. They wished the masks to be donated to our local hospital and residential/care homes.
Brigg Rotary Club are delighted to be able to deliver 1,000 Type II Face masks to each care home wishing to receive them, to be used as they see fit, in helping to keep staff and residents safe during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Type II masks are the ones used by visitors and offer protection against those from outside bringing the virus into a home but are not suitable as full PPE as worn by those treating infected patients.
This is another satisfying example of Rotary serving our community.
