This year’s RYLA students Kim Butterfield and Jemima Osborne returned with their parents and mentors Rebecca Mendoza from the Rotary club of York and Linda Parker from the Rotary club of Halifax and the gave a presentation to the club to highlight their experiences on the course.
Kim and Jemima both said they had thoroughly enjoyed the programme, learnt a great deal about leadership and both felt more confident following their experience. They had both changed the way they are approaching their studies and were looking ahead to university and beyond,
They went on to thank the club for our support and Past President Dave Brittain, who coordinates the project on behalf of the club, for choosing them. Everyone agreed they were excellent ambassadors for the project and demonstrated great leadership skills.
