RYLA

Youth Leadership Course

A relaxed Team at the end of the Course, August 2017

RYLA is one of the most successful Rotary programmes run by Rotary Clubs around the world.  It is a fun and intensive training programme for young people and offers potential leaders of the future the chance to get a head start.

The course helps to develop leadership and communication skills, share ideas and experiences, while developing creative approaches for resolving challenges.

In August 2017, the Rotary Club of The Wrekin organised the course for its Rotary District 1210 with professional support from Awesome Adventure.

Twenty-eight participants, aged 16 and 17 and drawn from schools and youth organisations, attended the five-day course at Kibblestone Scout Camp near Stone in Staffordshire.

Quotes from young people who attended this year's course:

"I'd like to thank you once more for organising RYLA last week, I found it a hugely enjoyable and valuable experience."

"Thank you for everything you have done for me last week and into the future

It is much appreciated and I can't explain to you how much I have learned from that week

Thanks again."
