Repairing the Summer House

The Summer House at Wellington Cottage Care was in a poor state so we took the matter in hand.

Many years ago the Club built the Summer House in the grounds of Wellington Cottage Care.  Wind and rain have taken their toll and the wood panels were beginning to rot.  Members put their heads together and came up with the idea of repairing/replacing the panels then Cladding over the top to give a more permanent finish.

Chas Kay looked at the work to be done and offered to lead the project.  So wood, nails and cladding were purchased through a District Grant and work started.

We've still got to get a group together to finish the repairing and painting of the doors and window frames but the Summer House will be ready for summer 2017.

Let's hope we have some sun!!
