The finals of the Quiz took place on 13 June at Linden House, Tettenhall, Wolverhampton when twelve teams representing Clubs from across the District battled for the honour of winning the cup as champions of the District Fellowship Quiz competition for 2011/2012.
The road to the final commenced in September last with 66 teams entered. In the meantime there have been three rounds held at various venues with both our teams reaching the semi-finals in March although it was only the A team that progressed to the final.
From memory, a team from our club has appeared in at least four of the last six finals and this year the team comprised Roger Garland, Colin Harris, John Milner and myself.
Not unexpectedly, once again, the standard of teams was very high and, whilst we performed well, we ended up 5th out of the 12 teams, the winners being Audley for the third consecutive year followed by Wolverhampton St. Georges.
As usual, the event was very well attended with DG Barry Preen presenting the trophies.
