Aldridge in Bloom

As a club we support the volunteer gardeners and business partnership with this event.

Over many years the Roatry Club of Aldridge has been involved with other local groups in the Britain in Bloom Awards.

Members volunteer to support other local organisations to maintain and improve the environment in Aldridge.  Every year the judges look for changes and improvements that have been made to the locality as they walk a route around the village.

Colourful floral displays have been added, new planters and hanging baskets, a flowerbed tribute to Ellie Simmonds, an overhaul of Elms Island and £70,000 worth of improvements to The Croft, Aldridge including new footpaths, signs and benches.

As ever with tightening council budgets much of the maintenance and regeneration of the village is led by community groups - if you have an interest in gardening and the local environment and would be able to get involved in your spare time please contact us we are alwyas keen to find new supporters to ensure that we can carry on our work in the future. Imagine how much more we could do with your support.
