Visit to Haarlem 10-12th October
Ten Rotarians and their partners took part in a splendid visit to meet a similar number from Tiel Rotary Club. Hub Duijsens and Peter Elferink organised a very good hotel near the centre of Haarlem and a number of visits to places of interest in and around Amsterdam and Haarlem.
We were met at Schiphol and driven to Zaanse Schans which a vibrant and stunning living and working community that dates back to the 18th and 19th centuries. We saw wooden windmills, barns, houses and museums built in traditional Dutch wooded architectural style. We enjoyed lunch here and washed it down with tea or coffee. This is
