Barge trip on the Kennet and Avon canal

Rotary, Inner Wheel and guests will be enjoying a barge trip along the Kennet and Avon Canal.

We will board the barge Barbara McLennan on the wharf in Braford on Avon, descend the lock and travel on to the Avoncliff aqueduct before winding (that’s turning around) and returning to the wharf in Braford on Avon.

There is a bar on board and a ploughman’s lunch will be served to those requiring sustenance.

That stretch of canal is amongst the most picturesque along the K and A so the evening should be great fun for all.
