Cub weekly Zoom meeting

The club members will hold their weekly club meeting by Zoom
This evening we enjoyed our weekly virtual meeting using the Zoom website.
The meeting was hosted by Rotarian David Perkins, David is the Rotary Foundation Team Leader for the 1200 District.
David gave an informative and structured talk on Rotary Foundation and the good causes that are helped by Rotary International every year.
He highlighted Polio Plus and the aid that Foundation has given to help in the fight against Covid-19 in the recent months. $20 million has been donated, worldwide, in the past 2 months relating to Covid-19 alone.
The 1200 District has recieved grants from Foundation to assist Yeovil and Dorset hospitals to assist in the pandemic struggle.
David stressed the importance of regular donations and the help given to Rotary by such organisation as the Bill & Melinda Gates Trust. Organisations such as these boost any donation by Rotary members by a huge amount and these funds return to the district eventually.
It was and enjoyable and informative talk, the members all thanked David for his time and effort.
