Portland Rotary Club and Weymouth Pavilion Theatre were proud to present a charity fund raising concert in aid of Rotary Charities.
Transported back in time to the golden age of swing, the1920s and 1930s. Warmed to the rhythms, syncopation and melodies of the jazz era. We heard the authentic music of the period from the greats, - George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Irving Berlin, Jerome Kerr and Hoagy Carmichael. The show included nostalgic tunes such as "Puttin’ on the Ritz", "Sweet Georgia Brown" and "Lullaby of Broadway"
The Pasadena Roof Orchestra are a world class orchestra formed over 40 years ago. They have a busy international touring schedule as well as performing in the UK. This was a rare opportunity to see them in Weymouth.
