Rotary runs several national competitions. Clubs, such as ours encourage local organisations and individuals to get involved in local rounds and winners go on to district, regional and national competitions with the support of the Club.
YOUNG ENVIRONMENTALIST
New this year. Young Environmentalist is open to primary school age children. Individuals or small teams can work on a project of their choice under the theme of Biodiversity. Using a variety of media entrants are asked to record and present their project in whatever way they choose, through written pieces, videos, or pictures. YOUTH SPEAKS
Youth Speaks is a competition for those interested in developing their public speaking and debating skills. Teams of three prepare and deliver a presentation on a topic of their choice. YOUNG PHOTOGRAPHER
If creative photography is your interest, then why not participate in our Young Photographer competition. Open to those aged 7 – 17 years the theme for this year is the ‘beauty of architecture’. Fancy yourself as a budding cook?
The Rotary Young Chef competition, sponsored by Filippo Berio, gives entrants the chance to put their culinary skills to the test and be judged by leading industry professionals. Entrants plan and cook a three course meal, develop their food presentation skills and gain experience in high pressure situations.Whether you’re keen for a culinary career or just an enthusiastic home cook, this competition is a fantastic opportunity.

This competition offers participants the chance to express themselves and get creative with the written word. After being given a theme, participants can choose to write fiction or non-fiction, a story or a poem. It’s a chance to be imaginative.
