Somerset's Inclusive Disability Ball 2022

It's a success. This year's Inclusive Disability Ball on 19th October 2022 was attended by over 200 people and was a sell-out. Sponsored by the Club, and hosted by Oake-Manor Golf Club this not-for-profit event is unique, bringing joy to all involved.

The Rotary Club of Taunton was once again delighted to support the Disability Ball for 2022 which took place on 19th October. This sell out event proved to be an enjoyable and fun evening for all those who attended, many dressing up in 'fancy dress costumes'.
The event was held at Oake Manor and included a two course dinner, dancing to a DJ Dave Lee and live music from 'Svnteen Entertainment'.  Activities included a fun costume photo booth, fireworks by Firestorm Pyrotechnics, face painting by 'Painted by a Purchase' and other treats.
Taunton Rotary has been working with the Taunton based charity Green Days Care for a number of years. Green Days is an organisation working to support and train adults with learning disabilities to gain confidence, get into work and maintain independent living.
The President of Taunton Rotary Club, David Lewis opened the event, and urged all to have a fabulous time; which they certainly did, with dancing and music for all to enjoy. David said, ‘We are so pleased to support this event once again. It is a great event for everyone and we had the time of our lives. I feel sure this sell out event will help create a positive and inclusive attitude towards those with learning disabilities and I'd like to thank the sponsors and especially Oake Manor Golf Club for hosting this not-for-profit event'.

If you are interested in supporting or sponsoring next years event, please get in touch, and you can find out more about the work of Green Days Care by visiting their website or contacting the Director and owner of the charity, Jess Stone.
