International Activities

We have supported the Rotary led drive to eradicate Polio globally, since its inception in the mid 1980's. In addition we regularly campaign for worthy causes in developing countries

On the International front we have supported a number of enterprises/projects in countries as far apart as Uganda and Lebanon. We put an emphasis on sustainability (as exemplified by our investment in Lend With Care and Tools With a Mission) and youth (Uganda and Malawi schools). Some of the charitable projects we have supported are listed below.

Lend With Care - This charity lends funds to budding entrepreneurs in developing countries, such as farmers, mechanics, sewing groups. Our investments have so far supported almost 200 entrepreneurs, either individuals or groups, with repayments being re-invested several times over.

Tools With a Mission - we collect old tools locally and this Essex based charity refurbishes them and packages them according to trade. They are sent to Africa where they are given or sold to budding carpenters, horticulturalists, mechanics, seamstresses etc., allowing them to start a business.

Clean water project in Uganda - we worked with a Rotary Club in Uganda to supply a clean water system to a local school in a remote area.

Water Survival Box - this disaster relief charity is run by Rotary, providing essential supplies, including the facility to purify water, to people made homeless by natural disaster.

Send-a-Cow - supplies livestock to farmers in developing countries to allow them to build a herd or business or perhaps only to provide milk or eggs to the family.
