RACE MEETING WASH OUT
Rain washes out fund raising activity.
Chard Rotary Club's plans to raise funds for Rotary's Polio Plus Campaign and the Musgrove Park Scanner Appeal came to a damp end this when heavy storms affected the annual Chard Town Extravaganza.
The scheduled 'Human Horse Race' meeting was called off after the third race when yet another downpour left the course to wet to be used safely. However, in the short time that we were able to carry on the children, who acted as the horses, had some great fun and the Club, thanks to the branded gazebo that Chard Town Council had helped to fund, was clearly visible within the area.
